Our Story.

Kicking things off in 2010, Simon & Steve went about starting Auckland’s best Commercial Furniture Installation company. Not long thereafter spanning into freight, relocations & property services. Whilst also expanding into the rest of New Zealand with support from Pete & Mark respectively.

At the heart of our business, we are installation specialists of world-class commercial furniture. And whilst, our piece of the puzzle may seem simple, we are often entrusted with delivering the final experience for end users as a project comes to a close. Our mission is to Build Better Workspaces not only for our clients but our employees too.

We’re proud to be 100% New Zealand Owned & Operated with teams based in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington and the wider North Island we have capacity to service all projects, whether you're setting up a cozy office in the Bay of Plenty or multiple floors in one of our major cities. CFI has the resources, experience and positive attitude to get your project across the line.

    Charlotte joined CFI in 2021, bringing experience from the customer side of corporate and hospitality fit-outs. With a focus on process improvement and growth, she has been a driving force behind significant changes at CFI and a key point of contact for our customers. 

    Outside of work, you will find Charlotte enjoying family time with her husband and two young kids.

    Steve joined his vision with Simon's to help kick start CFI. Steve thrives on the collaborative efforts of our team & clients that result in stunning interiors and top-quality products. With a robust background working for large industry players and managing through the 1987 crash, Steve has all the skills which have helped stare CFI to where we are today!

    Originally jumping on the tools casually, Mark quickly found himself enjoying the finished products we deliver & the incredible clientele we work with.
    His background in signage installation & construction gives Mark the skillset to deliver all projects, big, small or bespoke.
    Things are a little less casual nowadays, with a young family and leading our Bay of Plenty branch. When he does get a moment to himself, you may just spot him carving up some waves in the Bay!

    Back in 2015 whilst studying for his pilot’s license Pete was working within the CFI Auckland team to help fund his time in the sky. Unfortunately for Air NZ, Pete quickly saw that CFI could take his career to new heights! Following discussions with Simon, Steve, family & friends Pete relocated to Wellington in 2017 to establish our second branch. Quickly finding his feet in the Windy city, delivering the exceptional service our client’s had learnt to expect.

    Bringing solid industry experience as a Project Coordinator, Georgia joined the team to expand her knowledge and support the successful delivery of projects and day-to-day operations. Known for her organisational strengths and natural ability to build strong relationships, she was excited to become part of the Wellington team and play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes. Outside the office, Georgia enjoys pursuing creative interests, prioritising health and wellness, and getting outdoors with her dog, Moss.

    Simon noticed a gap in the commercial installation market and helped create CFI alongside Steve. Driven by the satisfaction of project completion for some of New Zealand's award winning interiors and industry leading products. Informed from his experience working for an Australasian industry giant, Simon has grown CFI from a team of two in a van to the multi-location, large fleet & team it is today!

    Today, we have the resources to collect, deliver, package & relocate just about anything your project requires.
    Not only that, we’ll ensure it’s delivered on time too!

  • We get it, time is money!

    Our team is more than happy to burn the midnight oil, to ensure your team can operate as normally tomorrow.
    Should your project be large enough, we’ll be happy to pop in on the weekend too.

  • Whilst we currently have three locations in the North Island.

    Our experienced & adventurous team is always willing to travel to Build Better Workspaces.
    Notably, completing projects in Franz Josef Glacier, Hāwera & even Fiji - “Bula Vinaka!”
